The redesign of the outdoor facilities at the Weltentdecker kindergarten was intended not only to help everyone feel equally comfortable in the garden, but also to provide a framework for educational outdoor activities with the children. The actual planning for the garden project was preceded by an intensive participation phase.
The site is located on the outskirts of the Municipality of Raschau-Markersbach, bordering fields and woods, with an unobstructed view of the village in the valley and the surrounding countryside.

As part of the overall nature-oriented concept, terrain modelling and differentiated planting have been used to create areas of different character and function. The design and dimensions of individual areas are adapted to the needs of specific age groups, but in general all parts of the garden are open to children without structural boundaries.
